About Me
I’m Justin — a filmmaker, writer, and spiritual exile who never stopped believing there’s something moving beneath the surface of things.
I was formed inside American evangelicalism. I loved its music, its rituals, its gravity. Church felt like a charged room — a place where meaning hummed in the air and stories shaped the nervous system. But eventually the spell broke. Not in a single moment, but slowly, like realizing the map you were given no longer matches the terrain.
I didn’t lose faith.
I lost certainty.
And what came next was stranger — and more honest — than I expected.
This site exists in that in-between realm: after belief collapses, before cynicism hardens. It’s for people who still feel the ache for transcendence but refuse to fake answers to get it.
What Happens Here
Here, I make films, write essays, and host conversations about modern spirituality, meaning, creativity, and belonging — especially for those who have left evangelical Christianity and don’t want their awakening to end in emptiness or hustle culture.
Who This Is For
This is for you if:
- you sense something sacred but can’t name it
- certainty makes you uneasy, but nihilism feels false
- you were shaped by church and haunted by its absence
- you’re tired of spiritual performance
- you want connection that doesn’t cost you your integrity
You don’t need to believe anything here.
Why I Do This
This work is an experiment in building a new kind of gathering space — not a church, not a brand, not a self-improvement machine — but a place to practice attention, honesty, and shared wondering.
If you’ve felt the pull of something you can’t explain — and refused to betray yourself by naming it too quickly — you’re already closer than you think.
